The scan can

Progressive Solutions has recently launched Scan Track — a new document scanning and management software add-on designed to augment bisTrack’s information storage and processing capabilities. With this latest add-on, paperwork is minimised, storage space can be reduced, and scanned documents can be viewed, printed or emailed by any bisTrack user.

Whether working with an imported document image or one scanned from a Windows compatible scanner, Scan Track is said to make it easy to scan, approve, store, find preview, sort and manage documents. Typically these would include:

• Proof of Delivery (POD) or supply documents such as signed delivery notes and signed collections from the counter
• Incoming supplier invoices and credit notes
• General documentation such as signed customer terms and conditions, supplier price lists.

Additionally, barcode recognition lets users associate scanned documents with the bisTrack originals to complete the paper trail. For example, when a driver returns with his signed delivery notes, they are placed in the scanner and the software will scan the image with the all-important signature. Automatically, the transaction is marked as ‘POD received’ and the image made accessible with a single mouse click from related documents such as the sales order or invoice. The signed document can be emailed directly to the customer, removing any disputes as to whether the goods were supplied or not.
