Finance team leader
Market leader in providing software solutions to the building & timber industries requires a financial team leader to be responsible for the successful implementation and on-going support of Microsoft Great Plains financial applications interfacing with the company's core bisTrack product. Role is hands on, covers full project life cycle and will require travel within the UK.
Role overview
Responsible for the successful implementation and on-going support of Great Plains financial applications interfacing with the company's core bisTrack product within the building and timber industries.
Detailed
Heading up a small team responsible for the implementation of Microsoft's Dynamics GP (Great Plains) software and its integration with bisTrack, the market leading software for merchants. Ensuring the team offers a quality support service to clients.
Role is hands on and will cover the following aspects:
- Implementation of Great Plains projects covering Nominal, Purchase and Sales Ledgers (bisTrack) and integration to bisTrack, including installation, consultancy, training etc
- Consultancy
- Post go-live support
- Assist in the on-going design & specification of the software
- Management of the finance team
- Travel within the UK & Ireland.
Relevant knowledge, skills and competencies
Skills and/or experience in the following areas would be desirable (in no particular order):
- Recognised accountancy qualification(s) AAT or part qualified ACCA
- Experience of both financial and management accounting
- Experience of implementing financial packages
- Previous experience of Great Plains
- Knowledge of the building/timber industry & associated software products
- Experience of leading a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Committed to customer service
- Good IT knowledge.

Progressive Solutions are a growing software company developing multi user application software products for distribution companies. Our products interface to a range of financial packages including Dynamics GP and Dynamics NAV.
Our clients are builders merchants, electrical wholesalers, timber merchants, plumbers merchants and other distributors. Our clients range in size from single branch 10-user systems to large multi-branch systems with several hundred users. Geographically our clients are sited all over the UK, from Devon to Aberdeen, in Ireland and also in North America.
Our offices are at Progressive House, The Heath Business & Technical Park in Runcorn. These provide excellent working conditions along with on-site facilities including a gym.
