Arthur Duffy to run Progressive Solutions

Arthur Duffy has been appointed Director of Operations at Progressive Solutions. The appointment follows the retirement of Robert Collins, who led the development of the company and the bisTrack software in the UK for the last seven years.
 
Duffy joined the company two years ago, since which time Progressive Solutions has seen consistent growth – 40% last year – as well as expansion of its development, implementation, sales and support teams.
 
He has 20 years’ experience in the builders’ and timber merchants industry, first as Sales and Marketing Director of BCT Software and then as Managing Director of his own software company, TouchPoint Consulting.

He says, “My appointment represents both a huge challenge and a fantastic opportunity for me to drive the company and our products further forward and to enhance the already strong partnerships with our customers. One of our key strengths is how well we understand timber and builders’ merchants in terms of operational functionality. I’m also relishing the opportunity to deliver solutions and benefits to companies as they face up to the current challenging business climate.’

In a second appointment, Progressive’s Product Manager Gary Brookshaw, becomes Product Director, and will continue to co-ordinate global product development for the Canadian owned company.

bisTrack software is now used by more than 100 builders’ merchants, timber companies and other construction product distributors. Earlier this year saw the introduction of bisTrack 2, which included more than 300 enhancements and a raft of optional modules including eBusiness (EDI) and Web Track (an internet trading tool).
