Progressive Solutions has announced ambitious expansion plans for 2009

Work has begun on the new building, the groundwork levelled and foundations dug. We're all set now for a more concerted push early in 2009 to meet the ambitious timescales for development.

As part of its long term business plan, software company Progressive Solutions announced this week it will be moving into new 7,500 sq ft, purpose-designed premises early in 2009. The move from the company’s existing 4,000 sq ft office suite will allow the expansion of all the company’s internal departments and the continued development of support and services provided to its customer base of merchants, wholesalers and timber companies.

Arthur Duffy, Director of Operations for Progressive Solutions, said, “Our customers supply materials to all sectors within the construction industry and our software helps them to retain a competitive advantage and to keep a tight control on their business. In the current economic climate our support is more crucial than ever and we want to ensure we are able to maintain it at the highest possible level.”

Progressive’s new building forms part of the redevelopment of The Heath Business and Technology Park, in Runcorn, where Progressive currently occupies office space. Owned and operated by SOG Ltd., The Heath represents a phenomenal regeneration success story with its transformation in 2000 from an ailing ICI chemicals headquarters site into a thriving independent business park. Progressive Solutions will be the first tenants to move into the new development and their building will be the first to be completed.

Arthur Duffy continues, “Our most important asset is our staff so it was essential we expanded into premises accessible to our 32-strong team, currently based in and around Runcorn. I’m therefore delighted that SOG was able to provide us with a cost effective and practical solution to meet our long term plans. The development itself certainly sends out a very positive message for the business community in the North West during these rather gloomy economic times and we’re obviously delighted to be part of that success story.”
