Date: 18 Dec 2008 Staff at the merchant fell victim to a fraudster, who ordered industrial clothing and roofing materials, collecting a credit order. The fraud was uncovered when the company was invoiced. The fraudster drove a white Mercedes Sprinter van with false registration plates. It is believed that the incident may be linked with similar crimes in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Thames Valley. Good quality CCTV and the prominence of the Crimewatch story means police remain optimistic.
