Web conferencing has the answer

Progressive Solutions is offering busy merchants a quick and convenient way of taking an initial look at its bisTrack software — by using web conferencing, a member of the Progressive team can now share a PC desk top with a merchant and show them as much or as little as they want to know about the system. It is very easy to set up, with no special software required — although a good broadband connection is!

Once a time and date has been set for the web conference, Progressive's sales person will telephone the merchant and invite them to follow an emailed link — and a couple of clicks later, the merchant will be viewing live bisTrack software at work on their own PC while each function is explained over the phone.

Typically a first demonstration will cover the basics of bisTrack such as searches, placing orders, some simple reporting functions and how data can be easily exported to Excel for further manipulation.

Progressive has also reported that Alsford Timber is to implement the bisTrack software. Alsford's MD Neil Fuller explained there were many features within bisTrack that appealed to his team — especially the system's customisable 'dashboard' which gives a real-time view of business performance.
